Presented by Lamberto Sposini , with the overwhelming music of Massimo Ranieri and Michele Zarrillo (unplugged with the Solis String Quartet ), and the poetry of Iraq's writer Dunya Mikhail read and interpreted by Sebastiano Somma , "I Nostri Angeli" has been able to recreate and renovate the charm of an event which encloses many different things: a gala evening, a prize-giving ceremony, a moment of recollection and entertainment and above all it celebrates that type of journalism which deals with forgotten, difficult and troublesome stories.

Noteworthy journalists have awarded the prize - Nico Piro (TG3), Catherine Philp (The Times), Gaetano Nicois (Rete4), Jerome Delay (AP), Attilio Bolzoni (La Repubblica) and Piero Angela , 2009 special prize. A tribute to the braveness of Giancarlo Siani , the only journalist killed by the camorra in Naples , shown through the pictures of Fortapasc , a film by Marco Risi which tells his story. And another film - The Hunting Party – showed the hard work of a war reporter. Striking events, pages to be read, stories to be told for a show directed by Cesare Pierleoni, with setting by Marco Calzavara .
