Special Award

Since 2007 the Marco Luchetta Press Awards have conferred special recognition to those journalists who during their career have stood out for upholding the ideals that inspired the competition. To date, the prize has been awarded to two well-known names in Italian journalism: Ettore Mo in 2007 , Vittorio Zucconi in 2008 and Piero Angela in 2009.

Piero Angela

For having educated generations of Italians to science making it straightforward, inventing a method and a language everybody could understand. His style, elegance and simplicity have made easy even the most difficult concepts.
